Earning Etihad Guest Miles on airline partners 

Etihad Guest has partnered with over 20 other airlines. It is possible to earn miles on flights to over 3,000 destinations. 

This is the full list of airlines on which you can earn and redeem Etihad Guest miles:

The exact number of miles earned will vary between airline partners and depend on the exact cabin class and booking class selected. Check the individual partner pages for full details on the earning rate for each airline partner.

To earn miles, you must remember to add your Etihad Guest membership number when making the booking or through the respective airline’s manage my booking link. This is an example from Virgin Australia.

Earning Tier Miles on airline partners 

You can also earn Etihad Guest Tier Miles and Tier Segments on a handful of airline partners. 

The four airline partners which earn Tier Miles are: 

  • Air Serbia 
  • Gulf Air 
  • Saudia 
  • Virgin Australia 

The Tier Miles earned on the four airlines will contribute to earning and retaining Etihad Guest status.

Air France-KLM newest airline partner 

Etihad Airways and Air France-KLM sign partnership agreement

Flying Blue, the loyalty programme of Air France-KLM is expected to be added to the list of airline partners shortly. Air France will begin daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Paris Charles de Gaulle on 29th October. 

Etihad Airways and Air France-KLM recently signed a memorandum of understanding to explore expanding their existing collaboration across passenger operations, loyalty programmes, talent development, and maintenance.

The agreement also envisages the ability of frequent flyers of both Flying Blue and Etihad Guest to earn and redeem miles with Air France, KLM, and Etihad.

The two airlines will also consider terminal co-location, reciprocal lounge access for elites and ground handling.

Air Arabia Abu Dhabi is a low-cost airline based at Abu Dhabi Airport, serving over 30 destinations within a short flying time of the UAE. The airline is a joint venture between Etihad Airways and Air Arabia. 

You can not earn Etihad Guest miles directly on Air Arabia. However, Air Arabia AirReward miles can be transferred to Etihad Guest at a ratio of 2:1.

What to do about missing miles 

When flying with airline partners, keeping a copy of your original boarding pass until the miles are posted to your Etihad Guest account is essential. 

If the miles from partner flights do not post, then send an email to guest@etihadguest.com and include the following information:

  • Etihad Guest membership number
  • Boarding pass copy
  • Full name as on passport
  • Booking reference
  • Ticket number
  • Flight numbers and date of travel

Remember that all claims must be made within six months of the flight or transaction date.
