If you have any plans to fly Emirates or flydubai over the next two months, Emirates Skywards is offering the opportunity to earn double Skywards Miles on all your travels. This is a limited-time offer, and you must register and book by 24 January 2025 to qualify.
The promo is generous. The bonus Skywards Miles can be earned on all fare types, in all classes, on all Emirates and flydubai routes between 15 January and 23 March 2025.
Helpfully, this travel period includes the February mid-term break and the first weekend of the spring holiday for most schools in the UAE.
What do you need to do to earn the double Skywards Miles?
To be eligible to earn the bonus Skywards Miles, there are three steps to take:
- Register for the promotion by 24 January 2025.
- Book travel by 24 January 2025.
- Fly Emirates or flydubai by 23 March 2025.
Two things to note. You must be travelling on an Emirates or flydubai-operated flight. Codeshares and partner flights will not qualify for the bonus. Sadly, you will not earn any bonus Tier Miles.
How are the double Skywards Miles calculated?
The promotional terms and conditions are a bit opaque on this point.
My reading is that the double miles bonus will be calculated based on the fare type you book. So, you will receive a 100% miles bonus based on the fare type and class you book.
However, no other bonuses will be included in the calculation. That means the Silver, Gold and Platinum Tier bonuses will not be doubled. Nor will any Skywards+ bonuses be doubled.
