Earlier this year, Collinson, the operator of Priority Pass and LoungeKey, signed a new global agreement with the Plaza Premium Group.
Following the announcement, Priority Pass and LoungeKey holders have access to an additional 63 lounges spanning Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia Pacific.
What does this mean for Dubai-based travellers?
This is great news for any passengers flying from Dubai on Emirates who do not have access to any of the Emirates Airline lounges.
Plaza Premium operates one of the best independent lounges at Dubai Airport. It originally opening in Terminal 3 in 2020, amid the pandemic. The spacious lounge is located on Concourse A between gates A2 and A3. The lounge is open 24 hours a day.
Terminal 3 in Dubai is used entirely by Emirates. The Plaza Premium lounge is a helpful option for any passengers who don’t have access to the Emirates Business or First Class Lounges.
Plaza Premium also operates a novel arrival lounge called Their Patio. This mini lounge is located in the arrivals hall of Terminal 3. Unusually, for an arrivals lounge, Their Patio does not have any shower facilities.
About the Dubai Plaza Premium lounge
Some UAE residents will be able to access the lounge for free using a local credit card. Anyone with a Visa Infinite or World Elite Mastercard will be able to access both of the Plaza Premium Lounges in Terminal 3 usin LoungeKey.
Pay for entry
It is possible to pay to access the lounge. Three hours pre-booked online will cost AED 259.98. Walk-in guests will pay a little more.
This is pretty good value when you consider the alternatives in Terminal 3. Emirates Skywards members without status pay AED 480 to access any of the Emirates Business Class lounges.
If you are tempted by the Private Family Suites it will cost around AED 2080.02 for three hours booked when booked online.
