No surprise here, but Etihad has now officially retired the standalone Etihad Guest app. All of its key features — including the ability to manage Miles on the Go — have now been folded into the main Etihad app and website.
Earn Etihad Guest Miles on the Go
That matters for one important reason: Miles on the Go is a genuinely helpful way to earn Etihad Guest Miles automatically from your everyday spending — even if you are using non-co-branded cards. Once you register your cards, you’ll earn miles when shopping at participating retailers without having to think about it. Set it and forget it.
You’ll earn 1 Etihad Guest Mile and 1 Tier Mile for every AED 3 you spend at any Miles on the Go partner. Just note: the transaction needs to be at least AED 50 to qualify. There is not a long list of partners, but Yas Mall and WTC Mall are included.
You can register up to five Visa cards. Previously, that was done via the Etihad Guest app. Now, everything is handled through the main Etihad app or Etihad.com. If you have recently updated your cards — for example, in the wake of ADCB pulling out of the Etihad cobrand partnership — don’t forget to re-register them.
Bottom line:
- The Etihad Guest app is no longer active
- Use the main Etihad app or Etihad.com to manage your Miles on the Go cards
- Worth doing — it’s one of the easiest ways to keep miles ticking up in the background
