Emirates launching new flight to Tel Aviv in June

  • by
Emirates Tel Aviv

This summer Emirates is set to finally launch its long-anticipated route between Dubai (DXB) and Tel Aviv (TLV). From 23 June Emirates will fly daily to Ben Gurion Airport.

What’s the schedule?

Departing Dubai, the schedule is well-timed for a weekend trip to Tel Aviv particularly if you are one of the lucky people working the new 4.5-day working week.

For travellers from Israel, the schedule has been optimised for easy connections to popular destinations in Asia and Africa.

The outbound flight EK931 departs Dubai at 15:50 and arrives at Ben Gurion Airport at 18:00 local time. The return flight EK 932 will depart Tel Aviv at 19:55 and arrive in Dubai at 23:59 local time.

flydubai codeshares with Emirates on flights between Dubai and Tel Aviv and will continue to operate up to four flights a day in addition to the new daily Emirates flight.

What can you expect on board?

Emirates Tel Aviv

Emirates will serve Tel Aviv with a three-class Boeing 777-300ER, featuring eight private suites in First Class, 42 lie-flat seats in Business Class and 304 seats in Economy Class.

Using Emirates Skywards Miles to get to Tel Aviv

As you would hope for a new route launch there are plenty of Skywards Classic Reward seats available in all three classes.

Redemptions rates for return bookings are as follows:

  • Economy redemptions from 27,500 Miles +AED 545
  • Business Class redemptions from 55,000 Miles +AED 1,525
  • First Class redemptions from 105,000 Miles +AED 1,525

One-way redemptions in Economy and Business are not of great value in comparison:

  • Economy redemptions from 23,750 Miles +AED 270
  • Business Class redemptions from 45,000 Miles +AED 760
  • First Class redemptions from 52,500 Miles +AED 760

It is also possible to redeem Skywards Miles on flydubai. However, this is rarely good value as redemptions on flydubai reflects the underlying cash price for the flight. The cost in Skywards Miles is frequently 2-3 times higher than an equivalent redemption on Emirates.

Using Skywards Miles for upgrades

Upgrades continue to be the most valuable use of Skywards Miles. A one-way upgrade will cost from 15,000 to 33,750 depending on ticket type.
