Emirates has announced a new year-round service to Finland. The airline will launch a new route between Dubai and Helsinki on 1 October 2026. This will be the only year-round service connecting Finland and the UAE.
Finland has a lot to offer. A family trip to chase the Northern Lights in the Arctic Circle was one of our favourite trips over the last few years. Not only has Finland been named as one of Lonely Planet’s must-visit destinations for 2026, but it has also been ranked as the happiest country in the world for eight years in a row.
The schedule has been loaded. However, flights are not yet available to book on Emirates.com.
Schedule
The route to Helsinki will operate daily with an A350 – more on that below. The outbound from Dubai is scheduled to take 7 hours and 10 minutes, while the inbound is scheduled to take 6 hours and 35 minutes.
Both are day flights, which is my preferred option for travelling between the UAE and Europe. The flight schedule is:

Arrive Helsinki (HEL) at 14:55hrs

Arrive Dubai at 00:20 the next day
Fly the A350 to Helsinki
I am delighted to see Emirates plan to use the A350 on the route. The A350 is the newest addition to the Emirates fleet. The Emirates A350 seats 298 passengers in a three-cabin configuration with Business, Premium Economy and Economy. There are 16 aircraft in service with a further 57 on order.

Flying to Helsinki with Skywards Miles
The launch of a new route is often a good time for both Skywards reward availability and securing upgrades, as demand for a new destination can take time to build.
