This post tracks which lounges have reopened at Dubai International Terminal 1 Concourse D.
Dubai Airports reopened Terminal 1 Concourse D at Dubai International (DXB) on 24 June 2021. It took some time for operations to ramp up and lounges to reopen.
Which lounges have opened at Dubai Terminal 1?
If you are planning spring break travel, the good news is that all of the lounges in Terminal 1, except the Al Majlis VIP lounge, have now reopened.
The Al Majlis branding has been removed from the entrance doorway, so it may not reopen at all.
Ahlan First Class Lounge
The Ahlan First Class Lounge is open 24 hours a day. Four hours in the lounge costs AED 250 + VAT.
Access may also be available for less via Dragon Pass.
Ahlan Business Class Lounge
The Ahlan Business Class Lounge is open 24 hours a day.
Access is available via Priority Pass, Lounge Key, Lounge Buddy and DragonPass.
marhaba Lounge
The Marhaba Lounge is open 24 hours a day.
Access is available via Priority Pass, Lounge Key, Lounge Buddy and Dragon Pass.
British Airways Galleries
The British Airways lounge has reopened open. However, it appears only for passengers in First and British Airways Executive Club Gold Members.
Business Class passengers and Silver members are being directed to the Marhaba Lounge across the corridor.
SkyTeam Lounge

Access is also possible via Priority Pass and LoungeKey.
Lufthansa Senator Lounge

The sleep pod option is back
If you are primarily after a quiet place to rest, there is one alternative available. The sleep ‘n fly cabins are also open 24 hours a day.
They are a bit tricky to find as there is no signposting. The entrance is located between Gates D6 and D7.
The minimum booking is two hours, and prices start from USD $34 for a single cabin.
Access is available via Priority Pass, Lounge Key, Lounge Buddy and Dragon Pass.
Which lounge should you visit?
If you do not have lounge access based on status or cabin, the Ahlan Business Class Lounge is a good choice.
The Ahlan lounge is spacious and bright. It also has a wide and appealing range of food and drinks on offer. The service is consistently friendly and attentive.
Pro tip: At check-in, Qatar Airways passengers were being directed to the Marhaba Lounge. However, first and business class passengers also have access to the Ahlan Lounge, a much better lounge. If you access the Marhaba Lounge first, you will not then be able to access Ahlan afterwards unless you have another form of eligibility such as LoungeKey or Priority Pass.
