The British Airways Executive Club (BAEC) is the loyalty scheme for British Airways. The programme’s currency is called Avios.
The BAEC can be quite a useful programme for frequent flyers in the Middle East. Earn rates are relatively generous and status is also fairly easy to obtain.
British Airways is a member of the Oneworld airline alliance and BAEC Avios can be redeemed for a number of direct destinations from the United Arab Emirates including Amman, Bahrain, Colombo, Hong Kong, London and Helsinki.
