Other ways to earn Emirates Skywards quickly
It is also worth mentioning the Emirates NBD Marriott Bonvoy World Elite Mastercard. Emirates NBD currently offers a sign-up bonus of up to 200,000 Bonvoy points.
This sign-up bonus would convert into over 80,000 Emirates Skywards miles, making it more lucrative than most Emirates Skywards co-brand offers.

appreciate the hard effort that is being done, would love to see Avios points earnings related to Qatar Airways especially for people in the UAE. I myself currently converting Bonvoy points earned by the Emirates NBD Marriott Bonvoy World Mastercard to Avios points.
Thanks Mohamed. I am a big fan of using Avios on Qatar. There is some more Qatar related content in the pipeline. It is tricky to earn Avios in the UAE. Converting from Emirates NBD Marriott Bonvoy World Mastercard to Avios points is one of the best options.
How about using a miles card like Fab Travel & Amex, and then converting them to Avios. Will get better return rather than converting from Bonvoy Card (expect if you are using the welcome bonus)
Hi Karan, Thanks for pointing that out. The FAB Infinite Travel Card would be an excellent alternative. The equivalent spend converts to significantly more Avios earned (around 50% more), particularly when you account for the reduced earning rate some other cards offer for specific categories and regions.
Hi – I’m new to the UAE and looking at various travel credit card options. I can’t spot an Avios partner (BA, Qatar or Finnair) when looking at the FAB Infinite Travel Card transfer partners. Am I missing a trick?
BA Executive Club is currently the only Avios transfer partner for FAB Miles. You can find the full list of transfer partners here: https://travel.bankfab.com/transfer/programs
Thanks for the response, Patrick. Out of Emirates and Etihad, which one is the better rewards program, in your view, in particular with respect to earning (via credit cards primarily) and burning miles? Mostly interested in longhaul reward availability in premium cabins.
It is definitely easier to accumulate Etihad Guest miles via credit card spend compared to Emirates Skywards. The sign up bonuses are larger and the earn rates more generous. Personally, I’ve found long haul premium availability on Etihad to be pretty decent. The only question may be the network. Does Etihad serve the destinations you need to get to? Although Etihad is growing the network is smaller with lower frequency than Emirates.

Hello
Its really confusing for me to buy which emirates airline skyward card because i want highest miles earning card when i spend on utility bills , telecommunications, grocery, hypermarkets in uae. So can you please guide me which card would be best for me to get ?
Unfortunately, all cards earn a reduced rate for spending on utilities, telecoms, and groceries. The difference in earn rates is minimal, so I would also consider the size of any signup bonus and the annual fee when making a decision.
Take a look at the Emirates Skywards DIB Infinite Credit Card. It earns 0.3 Skywards Miles per USD on all of those categories. It also has a promo signup bonus available until the end of August.
If you are a high spender the Emirates Islamic Skywards Black Card also earns 0.3 Skywards Miles per US on those categories and is currently offering a promotional signup bonus until 31 August.
Hello,
What do you think of having one of the Etihad Guest credit cards for example ADCB infinite that gives more miles than skywards and lets you maintain gold tier with etihad guest. However, you get a citi bank credit card (Citi Premier with 750 AED annual fee) to transfer guest miles to thank you rewards and then thank you rewards to skywards which are all 1:1 ratio. with this ill benefit more miles than sky rewards credit cards apart from sign up bonuses since etihad miles are more generous than skywards and both fees of the stated credit cards are less than skywards credit card annual fee. would love to hear your thoughts on this. Thank you
Hello, i have seen on Citi Bank Rewards site that you can transfer the Thank you rewards points to Emirates Skywards or Etihad Guest with 1000:1000. if the stated is correct, would be better to have an Etihad guest card infinite and a Citi bank card and then change transfer to skywards through Citi Bank card from the main Etihad guest card, since Etihad gives more points and both cards are cheaper on annual fees than Emirates
Skywards cards. Appreciate your feedback on this.
Unfortunately, that is not an option. While it is possible to convert Thank You points to Etihad Guest Miles it is not possible to convert Etihad Guest Miles into Thank You points.
Ah too bad, was thinking its possible. assuming you’re having Citi bank Thank you points card, how is it comparable to actual skywards or Etihad Guest cards. i am looking for convenient way for this, since i travel on both airlines along with sometimes Qatar depending on guests seats availability and destination as well.
thank you for your valuable feedback.
