With effect from 26 February 2022, Abu Dhabi has ended the Green List system for entry into the Emirate. The new entry requirements are based on vaccination status.

No test required for the vaccinated

You no longer need a test before you fly to Abu Dhabi if you are fully vaccinated.

However, if you are not fully vaccinated, you must present a negative PCR test result taken within 48 hours or a COVID-19 recovery certificate. Your recovery certificate must be dated within 30 days of departure and have a QR code.

Children under 16 are exempt.

Testing on arrival is optional but necessary

It is now no longer mandatory to take a PCR test upon arrival at Abu Dhabi International Airport.

However, in order to access public places and tourist attractions in Abu Dhabi, you need a Green Pass in the Al Hosn app.

The testing facility at the airport remains open for any travellers who wish to take a PCR test on arrival to activate their Green Pass in Al Hosn app. The test results usually arrive within a few hours.

The cost of the airport PCR test is AED 40. This is the same price you would pay at other testing facilities.

There is no need to re-test while you’re in Abu Dhabi. However, your Green Pass will expire after 14 days so you will need need to retest if you stay in Abu Dhabi longer than two weeks.
